Auto-gas.net reports that research by the United Kingdom’s Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) shows that alternative fuel vehicles could save more than 1,250 lives year (see the full report at auto-gas.net).
The transition to a carbon and pollution free transport society will take time. In the meantime we need to control, manage and eradicate these pollutants through the use of cleaner “ICE” fuels. LPG is the most widely available, with CNG and LNG becoming more relevant in the developed markets and where a domestic supply of natural gas is available. The consequences of pollution are focused on the health of those subjected to gases on the ground. CO₂ is important – but what we breathe now is far more damaging in the short-term.
